How to Audition for the Silicon Valley Symphony
Join the SVS
The Silicon Valley Symphony, a professional quality
volunteer orchestra under the direction of Michael Paul Gibson, is accepting audition requests from professional musicians who do not need to earn income by joining this orchestra, professional
quality musicians who earn their living in other occupations, and highly skilled advanced amateurs. For the audition, please prepare a solo, one or two popular orchestral
excerpts of your choice for your instrument, and we will give you some sight-reading. Auditions will be heard by the Music Director, Concertmaster, and possibly other members of the
orchestra.
The SVS rehearses selected Monday evenings from 7:30 PM until 10:00 PM in the Sanctuary of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church 600 Colorado Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94306. To make an audition appointment, submit the form below, or call the Music Director at (415) 287-6002. You may direct
